“The Furnace is killing it!”

ANTHONY LOMBARDO, Session Bassist and hired gun – New York

In my lifelong quest to try to sound Like a cross between Jack Bruce and Dennis Dunaway I could never find an overdrive that wouldn’t lose the bottom end and still remind me of my 75 pound SVT headđź’Ş.. here it is thank you Mark Kendrick🔥🔥”

NIKKI SIXX, Artist (Mötley Crüe, Sixx:A.M.)

This pedal is insane! It took my bass sound to the next level.”

JASON SMITH, Bassist @echovox

I have used the Furnace Drive on both gigs and rehearsals and I have got to say I think you have a winner here! Overall from low gain to over the top heavily saturated gain settings you never lose the bottom end. Most bass overdrive, distortion, fuzz pedals seem to drop the bottom end eq out when used and only seem to accentuate the high end frequencies. You have quite the opposite, in fact the more saturated the signal is with drive the deeper the low end frequencies seem to become. I also like that even at high gain saturation levels you never lose the clarity of the note. In my experience with other pedals I have tried the higher the gain level the muddier less clarity you have to the note itself, they end up sound like a fuzzy bunch of mush.”

LOU TOOMEY, Artist (Brooks & Dunn)

“I’m really loving this Mark Kendrick “Advancing Drive“ pedal. It’s on the bottom right on my pedal board.. I’m not one for a bunch of “cork sniffing” descriptions. All I can say is it makes me happy when it’s on .. With just the right amount of oomph and hair…”
-Thank you, Lou!

JAMES PENNEBAKER, Artist (Delbert McClinton)

“I’ve been touring on the road with this pedal for a couple weekends now. Not just sitting in my bedroom trying to play “Eruption.” I’m a “song” player. If anything I play doesn’t complement the song or much more importantly the singer who’s singing the song, then I’m just another “wanker” and not doing my job. I can’t turn this dang pedal off on the gig. It’s that good! It’s a killer pedal. Very responsive and transparent. Feels like the amp is doing the work and you’re not even playing through a pedal.”

This is a very useful effect, that adds a bit of “that thing” that push over the cliff if you will 🙂

The two knobs could be labelled “How Much and Rip.” The way I would use this is not unlike the way Clapton or others used a Rangemaster… to add some oomph (the merest hint) and some rip, to get a single coil to not sound like a humbucker, but rather to ACT like one. With Mark’s box, I can get the swirl of the Bluesbreaker and I keep the low end. Nice.   I have taken it apart and it’s very well made- handmade by someone who cares and knows how to solder. This is a very good product, not just another clean boost.”

VINCE GILL, Artist

“I put it on my board and have no intention of taking it off.”
